RÜNNO softshell overall

One suit solves three problems

The jacket rides up. The pants ride down. And right there, right in the middle of your back, the wind or rainwater always finds its way in. This is the reality of separate garments when you bend, stretch, or just move normally in terrain.

A jumpsuit eliminates the problem simply by having no gap to find.

What softshell adds

Softshell is not rainwear or insulation. It is a shell that does two things at the same time: keeps the weather out and lets moisture out.

With a 10,000 mm water column, the material can handle a lot of rain – more than you’ll stand in voluntarily. At the same time, it transports away excess heat and sweat through its 5,000 g/m²/day breathability. The result is that you can be active without getting soaked by your own moisture, but still be protected when it rains.

The flexibility of the material means you can actually move normally. No stiff rain overalls that creak with every step.

How it works in practice

You have a mid-layer that you adjust according to the temperature. On mild days, just a thin sweater. On cold mornings, several layers. The overalls are the shell that protects from the elements, no matter what.

When you get out in the morning, you put on just one outfit. No planning on whether the jacket matches the pants or whether the lengths match. No zippers that don't meet. Just one zipper that goes from head to toe, and then you're out.

After a day in the field – maybe wet, maybe soaked from rain – you take off your overalls. It hangs up to dry overnight. The midlayers may need to be replaced, but the shell is the same every day.

Who is it for?

If you think fashion and style are more important than function – then there are nicer alternatives.

If you work in the field, fish early in the morning, hunt in damp forests, or just want to avoid having to worry about whether your clothes will keep you dry – then a softshell overall is worth looking at.

It's not revolutionary technology. Farmers, fishermen, and others who actually work outdoors have been wearing overalls for generations. The difference now is that the material performs significantly better than cotton canvas or old rubberized fabric.

A coverall isn't right for every situation. But for the situations where it's appropriate – a full day in the field, work where you bend and stretch a lot, activities where you need to be outside regardless of the weather – it's hard to find anything more practical.
