Since we bought our first pair of barefoot shoes ten years ago, we have realized how important they are for your feet and your overall well-being.

Most barefoot shoes are manufactured on a small scale, which is reflected in the high price tags. It was tough for us as parents of young children to buy such shoes, to be honest, it was mostly the children who got fancy barefoot shoes while we adults sloshed around in whatever was on sale. But with foot problems like really wide feet and Morton's Syndrome, we finally got frustrated enough and took action: We opened our own online store for barefoot shoes, with the motto that we should have shoes for everyone and in all price ranges!

Tjåkko means mountain in Sami. Moving around in nature, in the forest and land and on the mountain is natural for humans and their feet. Feet are made for working and walking, but with hard, thick soles, the foot cannot work as it is intended. That is why we created our own brand, Tjåkko, where we want to offer really good shoes at a lower price. Perfect for those who want to try out their first pair of barefoot shoes without turning their wallet upside down. Or who, like us, do not have the opportunity to spend large sums on good shoes for themselves. We also have the right to good shoes!

The shoes may not be hand-sewn or made from the most exclusive materials, but they are stylish, durable, good for your feet and leave you with more money left in your wallet.

We also have brands in both mid-range and higher price ranges, so no matter what you're looking for, you'll be able to find it with us. We're also constantly expanding the store's range with new brands and products, so keep an eye out! And if we don't have what you're looking for, ask us! We want to have satisfied customers and if we can help you, we'll be happy to do so.

In addition to barefoot shoes, we also sell sturdy boots from Estonian Samelin. These are not barefoot models, but are still wide in the model and very popular with people who move a lot in the forest and land, something we like and are happy to encourage. Therefore, these boots are included in our range.
