Saltic Fura in embroidered textile is the summer version of Fura – lighter, airier and more breathable than leather. Vegan textile with embroidered finish, ExtasyFix® sole from the climbing world and rubber protection. Handmade in the Czech Republic.

On really hot summer days, leather shoes feel too tight, even when the leather breathes. When you exercise intensely and your feet get really sweaty, you want something that ventilates more. When you're out in light rain and get wet, you want shoes that dry quickly. Saltic Fura Fashio Vegan in embroidered textile is the answer to these situations. Instead of leather or microfiber, the entire upper is made of vegan textile with an embroidered finish. The fabric breathes significantly better than all leather alternatives, which means that heat and moisture are transported away faster. On a hot summer day, you'll notice the difference after just one hour - your feet feel fresher. After a session at the gym, they're not as wet inside. And if you step in a puddle or get caught in the rain, the textile dries in a few hours instead of overnight like leather does.

The textile variant has the same 3.7 mm ExtasyFix® sole as most other variants of Fura. This means a patented climbing rubber compound with extreme grip – the same technology that Saltic uses in its professional climbing shoes. The soft, sticky rubber bites into any surface. On wet tile floors in the gym, you get a secure footing even when it is damp. On wooden piers by the lake, you don't slip when you get out of the boat. On uneven paths, you can clearly feel the surface through the thin sole, but with grip that allows you to move forward more safely. The lightness of the textile combined with the ExtasyFix® grip makes these excellent shoes for summer hiking, gym training, water sports or just everyday life when it is warm.

Textile may sound fragile, but Saltic uses premium vegan fabric with an embroidered finish that is made to withstand tough use. The embroidery not only adds texture and is visually appealing – it also reinforces the fabric in the areas where it is needed most. The rubber protection at the front absorbs when you kick something and protects the fabric from wear and tear. When you wash dirt off the surface with a damp cloth, the embroidery does not fade. The sun cannot do as much damage to textile as it does to leather, so the color holds up better over time. After a season of use, the textile version still looks fresh, while leather often starts to develop patina and darker stains. It is the choice for those who prefer shoes that look "new" for longer.

Just like all Saltic barefoot shoes, the textile Fura is sewn using the ponožka technique – first a sock is sewn and then the sole is applied. With the lightness and flexibility of the textile, this effect is even more pronounced than in the leather versions. The shoe weighs less, bends more easily, and hugs the foot almost like a fabric shoe but with support where needed. The Cambrelle lining on the inside is the same as in all Fura models – a two-component material that transports moisture away from the foot. But the combination of airy textile on the outside and moisture-wicking lining on the inside makes these the most breathable Fura shoes available. Many people can actually go completely without socks in the textile version even on warm days, which is more difficult in leather or microfiber.

Fura in embroidered textile is often called a "summer version" but that's a bit misleading. Yes, they're perfect for warm days. But they also work great as gym shoes all year round thanks to the ExtasyFix® grip and good ventilation. They're great as indoor shoes in winter for those looking for a work shoe. And on mild spring and autumn days they work just as well as leather as long as it's not really cold. The textile is vegan, which means no animal products - for those of you who actively avoid leather. It's easier to keep clean than leather - brush off dirt and wipe with a damp cloth. And when the sole is worn out, Saltic will replace it for you, just like with all their models. Each pair comes with a stylish bag for storage. It's a versatile and useful shoe that happens to be extra good in the summer.

Skor för riktiga fötter

Classic shoes:

In classic shoes, the toes are squeezed together, the foot is placed in an unnatural position and during long walks we can feel discomfort and a great relief when we get home and have to take off our shoes. Long-term use of such shoes can lead to foot problems such as Hallux valgus and Morton's syndrome.

Barefoot shoes:

In barefoot shoes, there must be enough space for the entire foot to maintain its natural shape. This provides maximum comfort and the toes can be spread out as needed, which increases walking stability. Other important aspects are maximum flexibility and a thin sole that has zero drop.

Why are barefoot shoes good?

Regular shoes are often too tight, which has squeezed your toes together for years. You may develop hallux valgus, which requires surgery, or perhaps a heel spur that takes months to heal.

Tight shoes

Friska fötter

Your toes need their space.

Your toes are probably squeezed into regular shoes like most people. Maybe you have pain in your feet or toes. Most often it is the big toe that takes the most damage. If you walk for too long, you can develop Hallux Valgus which becomes so bad that surgery is required.

With barefoot shoes, you give your toes space and allow your feet to strengthen. Many people experience a dramatic difference in just a couple of weeks.
